This role supports the development of AI-powered capabilities within Zoom’s Workforce Engagement Management platform. The intern will help shape intelligent features across workforce and quality management products, contributing to solutions that improve scheduling, forecasting, and workforce performance through applied AI.

The Workforce Engagement Management (WEM) team at Zoom develops AI-powered tools to optimize workforce performance and enhance employee engagement. Responsibilities
- Designing AI-driven features for workforce and quality management using advanced language models.
- Developing and fine-tuning prompts and models for conversational and decision-support use cases.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing workflows.
- Prototyping and evaluating generative AI applications, including simulations and intelligent notifications.
- Contributing to model evaluation frameworks to improve AI accuracy and user experience.
- Assisting in the orchestration of AI workflows for production-scale environments.
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrate programming skills in Python, Go, or Java.
- Pursue a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a relevant field at an advanced educational level.
- Show understanding of machine learning, natural language processing, or large language model architectures.
- Utilize frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or LangChain.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving abilities with effective communication skills.
- Apply knowledge of time-series forecasting or workforce management systems.
- Familiarize with MLOps tools like MLflow or SageMaker.
- Integrate scalable AI deployment practices effectively.
- Commit to building AI applications that enhance productivity and engagement.
