Intercompany Reconciliation Process Enhancement
This internship project focuses on improving the efficiency and consistency of intercompany reconciliation processes. Currently, reconciliations are performed at the entity level, resulting in varied practices across legal entities. This has led to control gaps, inconsistencies, and manual inefficiencies.
The intern will support the GL Accounting team by mapping existing reconciliation workflows, evaluating and refining reconciliation templates, and developing a decision tree to guide resolution of intercompany imbalances. The project contributes to broader goals of enhancing finance productivity, reducing manual effort, and improving audit readiness.
· Process Mapping
Analyze and document current intercompany reconciliation workflows across entities to identify variations and inefficiencies.
· Decision Tree Development
Create a decision tree framework to guide resolution of intercompany outages and imbalances, supporting consistent and efficient decision-making.
· Template Review
Revisit the reconciliation and intercompany balancing accrual templates to assess usability and consistency. Recommend improvements and explore opportunities for standardization or automation.
