KKR is seeking an experienced, analytical investment professional at the Analyst or Associate level to join its ABF team in New York. In this role, the successful candidate will play a critical part in evaluating investment opportunities and conducting thorough analyses of granular pools of loans and other asset-based collateral. KKR is an active participant in these markets and is looking for someone to contribute to underwriting and executing new investments as well as helping to manage a sizable existing portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to help grow the investment strategy and work collaboratively with a dynamic team of professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with analysis of investments involving asset-backed securities and collateral types, including supporting asset and liability cash flow modeling

Support investment team members by gathering data on potential investment opportunities and helping develop recommendations
Draft sections of investment memos and compile reporting materials under supervision
Help track portfolio performance metrics and gather data on trends for team review
Support due diligence processes by collecting and organizing relevant information

Support deal execution processes and post-closing workstreams

QUALIFICATIONS

2-4 years of relevant experience in asset-backed finance at an investment bank, advisor, hedge fund, or other investment office, with a preference for candidates with a focus on consumer assets
Strong cash flow modeling skills to assess the viability and potential returns of investment opportunities
Excellent critical thinking, quantitative and analytical abilities
Superior presentation skills to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences
Strong personal initiative and desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment
Ability to be a highly productive member of lean and fast paced deal teams
Ability to learn quickly with a strong attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or another technical field required
