About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use):

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Platform Engineering team at S&P Global Energy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for software engineering and an interest in both backend and frontend technologies. You will work closely with experienced engineers to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Platform Engineering team to design, develop, and test software applications.
Assist in the creation of new features and enhance existing functionalities.
Work on real-world projects that align with and support the company's objectives.
Engage in problem-solving and debugging tasks to enhance software performance.
Gain exposure to senior leadership and actively participate in team meetings and discussions.

Requirements:

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, or a related field, ideally graduating in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.
Collaborate with the Platform Engineering team to design, develop, and test software applications.
Assist in the creation of new features and enhance existing functionalities.
Work on real-world projects that align with and support the company's objectives.
Engage in problem-solving and debugging tasks to enhance software performance.
Gain exposure to senior leadership and actively participate in team meetings and discussions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Basic understanding of cloud platforms or services.
Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and frameworks.
