About Us:

Twitch is the world’s biggest live streaming service, with global communities built around gaming, entertainment, music, sports, cooking, and more. It is where thousands of communities come together for whatever, every day.

We’re about community, inside and out. You’ll find coworkers who are eager to team up, collaborate, and smash (or elegantly solve) problems together. We’re on a quest to empower live communities, so if this sounds good to you, see what we’re up to on LinkedIn and X, and discover the projects we’re solving on our Blog. Be sure to explore our Interviewing Guide to learn how to ace our interview process.

About the Role

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our Creator Monetization team - the engine that helps 7+ million creators turn their passion into sustainable careers. Our team’s mission is to empower creators to continue doing what they love by building intuitive, accessible monetization tools, programs, and resources that reward authentic community engagement. You'll work on the engineering systems that directly impact creators’ livelihoods, building and scaling the platforms that enable the Twitch Partner Program, DJ Program, Plus Program, and Extensions Monetization. These are the large-scale distributed systems that allow creators to monetize, calculate creator earnings, and power revenue analytics that help creators understand and grow their income on Twitch.

You Will

- Build systems that matter: Contribute to experiences and services that power creator earnings, payouts, and monetization programs that directly impact millions of creators’ livelihoods
- Deliver code with impact: Write and maintain code in Go, TypeScript, or other languages in our stack, with mentorship from senior engineers and tech leads who will help you grow
- Solve problems that span multiple teams: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers across the organization to understand complex requirements and deliver elegant solutions
- Shape how we build: Improve engineering processes, participate in design discussions, and contribute to code reviews that raise the bar for the entire team

Perks

* Medical, Dental, Vision & Disability Insurance
* 401(k)
* Maternity & Parental Leave
* Flexible PTO
* Amazon Employee Discount

About the team

As part of our team, you will become an expert across the full breadth of services powering creator monetization - architecting, building, and operating mission-critical systems alongside experienced engineers and tech leads. You will have the autonomy to work across the stack and collaborate closely with engineers throughout our larger Creator Growth organization, partnering with product managers, designers, and data analysts to deliver scalable monetization solutions that make a real difference to creators across the globe.

About the company

Amazon

Company overview
Amazon runs a wide set of consumer and enterprise businesses, including online retail, Prime Video and other subscription services, advertising, devices, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Amazon also builds large-scale software and infrastructure for logistics, payments, and cloud computing, and hires across engineering, product, operations, corporate functions, and frontline roles. Amazon’s early-career hiring spans both office-based teams and operational sites, which means “entry-level” can look very different depending on the org.

Locations and presence

Amazon has major corporate hubs in Seattle and Arlington (HQ2) plus large engineering and operations sites across North America, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific. For many corporate roles, Amazon’s stated expectation has shifted to five days per week in-office for office-based employees (with exceptions depending on role and site).

Palpable Score

/ 100
Amazon is one of the most accessible early-career employers at scale, with recurring internships and graduate hiring across many disciplines and geographies. Amazon also provides unusually clear public information about interview mechanics and publishes pay ranges on a large share of roles, which supports informed decision-making. The biggest drag on outcomes is the combination of high-performance culture signals and recent corporate job cuts, which adds risk for early-career stability depending on team and org.
