About the Role & Program:

Within Platform Distribution, ABC Televisionโs Affiliate Relations department builds and maintains strong business relationships with ABC-affiliated TV stations and their ownership groups to support market leading performance for ABC Network programming. ย The team collaborates closely with a broad number of departments within The Walt Disney Company, including ABC News, ABC Entertainment, ESPN, Network Operations, Marketing / Promotion, and Research, among others to support the Companyโs goals.

This internship opportunity involves providing support to four key teams of the Affiliate Relations department. Some projects include, helping to create fall launch sales / marketing initiatives, monitoring station activity, prepping new season programming materials, and tracking industry trends. This internship will help provide a basic knowledge of the television landscape (including key programming areas of entertainment, news and sports) and the Network / Affiliate business model.

What You Will Do:

- Form strong internal Network relationships to ensure complete understanding of ABCโs business objectives and distribution goals.
- Learn appropriate tools to connect with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Microsoft Teams), and support database management (i.e. Salesforce)
- Assist with maximizing day-to-day distribution of network programming and negotiating optimal makegoods in the event of local program preemption.
- Track and record the clearances for Network programming across all Dayparts in SharePoint/Clearance System for Ratings and Network Sales.โฏ ย

Required Qualifications & Skills:
โ
- Experience with and demonstration of strong organizational, presentation, shared database management and record-keeping skills ย
- Strong interest in the media business, with a particular focus on television and programming to support communication with clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and outstanding professional demeanor
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) in previous work assignments.

- Work or education experience in entertainment ย
- Industry knowledge in media
- An understanding of contract review and interpretation

Education:

- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Major or previous coursework in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or other related major preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information:
โ
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship, June 2026 โ August 2026.
- Fully available from Monday โ Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, CA area.
