Your Team Responsibilities
The HR and Payroll Technology team at MSCI is responsibile for maintaining, managing, and enhancing the firm's applications across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with our stakeholders, you will work on understanding business needs and translating those into requirements and be responsible for the subsequent development of tools using Workday Extend, Wokday HCM, and other modules in the Workday eco-system. You will be part of a dynamic development team that encourages collaboration and innovation. Our team comprises skilled professionals with diverse backgrounds working together to achieve shared goals in enhancing our Workday systems and processes.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and customize applications using Workday Extend to meet specific business requirements.
- Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of custom applications to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed applications, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Document technical specifications, user guides, and other relevant project documentation.
- Stay updated with Workday's latest functions and updates to recommend improvements and enhancements to applications.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
- 3 to 5 years of Workday Extend experience
- Highly knowledgeable with Workday HCM, Talent, Benefits, Compensation.
- Proven experience in developing applications using Workday Extend, including custom objects, calculated fields, and integrations.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript and XSLT, as well as experience with APIs and web services.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that enhance user functionality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in delivering high-quality solutions on time.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders across various departments.
- Experience with Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, or Financials is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
