Get to Know the Role
Your mission is to help design Grab's next-generation continuous listening and sensing system. You will lay the analytical foundation to redefine how we measure organizational health, moving us from an annual survey to a real-time system. This system will combine employee feedback (listening) with organizational data (sensing) to drive just-in-time improvements.
This internship runs from January to May 2026. You will report to the Head, Performance and Culture and deliver the following:
- A core predictive model: You'll analyse our data to build and validate a core statistical model that identifies the most reliable leading indicators of team health (e.g., "What signals reliably predict burnout or high performance?").
- A proposed framework: You'll design the organizational health framework, defining the key "listening" and "sensing" metrics that matter most.
- A system blueprint: You'll create a clear blueprint for our People Tech team, outlining the proposed data logic, indices, and trigger points for a working prototype.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will run advanced statistical analysis on historical engagement and org data to identify predictive signals.
- You will map and design the new framework, defining key "listening" and "sensing" data points.
- You will define the system logic (e.g., indices, thresholds) to generate actionable insights for leaders.
- You will partner with People Tech to build, test, and refine a working prototype in a live setting.
- You will document all models and assumptions to ensure work is transparent and repeatable.
- You will design interventions (e.g., nudges, feedback loops) to test the system's impact.

What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Academic background: Currently pursuing Masters or PhD in Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behaviour, Behavioural Science, or a related field.
- Research & psychometrics: Strong foundation in quantitative research, survey design, and psychometrics.
- Advanced statistics: Proficient in statistical analysis (e.g., regression) using R, Python, or SPSS.
- Systems thinker: Deep curiosity about how human and technical systems interact.
- Clear communicator: Able to translate complex data and theory into simple, practical insights for any audience.
