Responsibilities
- Ensure safety protocols are adhered to while performing work; prevent other coworkers and customer from performing work outside safety protocols.
- Install equipment at customerโs locations, including new equipment, upgrades, and system relocations.
- Diagnose problems, identify, and order components, and make necessary repairs.
- Co-work with local and international technical support teams to solve problems.
- Monitor, maintain and optimize equipment daily to enhance functionality and prevent problems.
- Provide technical support to customers to correct system malfunctions.
- Train customers in use and routine maintenance of equipment. Answer customer questions and assist customers in a professional manner.
- Perform administrative and coordination duties, including update install status reports, update install project plans, update procedures, facilitate pass-downs, create work orders, and create corrective action / preventative action reports.
- Coordinate labor and material resource planning.
- Provide appropriate support and assistance to less experienced ASM personnel, as necessary.
- Position will require travel up to 25%.
- Position will require access to customer site locations.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to wear clean room suit.
- Ability to wear respiratory / breathing air PPE. (this way they know they must maintain clean shaven face for respirator work)
- Work compress shifts or extended hours (including weekend days)
- Ability to be on-call coverage based on set coverage schedule. ย

Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited school in electronics / electro - mechanical discipline or equivalent military technical training
- 1+ years of field service / customer support experience and/or manufacturing experience in final assembly or test of semiconductor capital equipment.
- Knowledge in any or all the following areas is a plus: ย wafer fab, closed loop gas and vacuum control, RG induced plasma, electro-pneumatic controls, microprocessor-based controllers, robotics, basic concepts of software, toxic and/or flammable gasses and acids.

Physical Demands
This position will require you to lift and/or carry 1-10lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally. Other physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, sitting, communicating; and occasional reaching above your shoulder, climbing, squatting, kneeling, bending, and grasping. You will also be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working.
