This is a great job for someone who is looking to build a career in insurance operations or underwriting support. This role would suit someone with early exposure to the insurance industry—perhaps from an entry‑level underwriting, claims, customer service, or administrative role—who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys accuracy, coordination, and supporting a wider team. If you’re organised, detail‑driven and enjoy being at the heart of a fast‑paced underwriting function, this could be the perfect next step.

‍

‍

A bit about the job:

‍

In this role, you will provide essential support to the underwriting process by ensuring accurate and timely logging of data into the relevant systems before it is passed to our data‑entry team. You will help maintain all user‑defined databases for the underwriting unit and play a key role in resolving transactional data issues—such as cash allocations and debtor signings—within agreed SLAs.

You’ll liaise with our third‑party processing partners, manage document workflows to the correct standards, and support various month‑end procedures as directed. Ultimately, you’ll anticipate the needs of the underwriting team and deliver a proactive, efficient support service that keeps our operations running smoothly.

Palpable Score

73.7
/ 100
Aviva is one of the clearer large employers for graduates because Aviva publishes structured graduate pathways and apprenticeships with permanent roles, salaries, and a defined two-year development programme. Aviva also shares concrete support mechanisms like induction, mentors, buddies, and an Early Careers Academy. The score is capped by limited published outcomes data and the added uncertainty that comes with large-scale integration and restructuring risk.
