Programme Overview

Temasek's Summer Internship Programme is a 12-week in-person experience in our London office, offering participants extensive exposure across the firm. This structured programme provides Summer Associates with valuable guidance through mentorship, continuous feedback, technical and soft skill training, networking opportunities with professionals across the firm and the unique chance to fully immerse themselves in Temasek's culture.

Job Description

Temasek's Investment Group offers Summer Associates the chance to engage in investment activities across various sectors across EMEA. The investment process develops both financial analysis skills and strategic thinking capabilities. As a result, this internship programme offers a unique experience, enabling our Summer Associates to develop a well-rounded and fine-tuned business mind. Summer Associates at Temasek have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of projects.

Summer Associate work may include:

• Diverse breadth of work across private equity transactions and public markets
• Financial analysis and modelling
• Detailed research on industries and companies
• Investment research
• Involvement in live transactions and execution
• Developing investment committee presentations
• Drafting of memoranda for internal and external use
• Communications with portfolio company senior management

We believe in providing ongoing performance feedback and evaluations to facilitate your continuous development, and we aim for this to culminate in your conversion to join us as a full-time Associate between summer 2026 and summer 2027, subject to availability and performance.

Qualifications

Temasek seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven environment, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavours.

The successful candidate must possess:

• A desire to work in a team environment with dynamic roles
• Analytical mindset and comfort working with data
• Self-motivation to find solutions independently
• Passion and curiosity about investing
• A baseline interest in financial modelling (1 week of training will be provided at the start of the internship)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Intellectual curiosity
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Alignment with Temasek MERITT Values (see here)
  

To be considered for the 2026 Associate Internship Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• An undergraduate/postgraduate student (with no full-time working experience) graduating between summer 2026 and summer 2027, from any discipline*
• Summer Associates will have the opportunity to convert their internship into a full-time Associate role either directly after the internship or in summer 2027 subject to availability and performance

*If you are from a non-business / finance background (e.g. Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), additional financial training materials will be provided to ensure that you have a good foundation prior to the start of internship.
