NVIDIA is well positioned as the “AI Computing Company”, our GPUs being the brains that power modern Deep Learning software frameworks, accelerated analytics, modern data centers, and driving autonomous vehicles. We are looking for a Software QA Test Development Engineer Intern to join in the mission of crafting a distributed technology for all NVIDIA teams that remotely manage tens of thousands of resources in a simple and controlled fashion, allowing engineers to focus on engineering and automation, rather than being burdened by manual operational tasks.

SWQA Test Dev interns at NVIDIA work alongside experienced engineers to learn about test planning, execution, and reporting, as well as developing scripts for test automation and assisting in the development of tools for the QA team. As an intern, you will participate in crafting test plans with the goal of ensuring software reliability and detecting possible issues. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of NVIDIA's products while developing your skills. All interns must have hands-on experience using AI development tools to improve quality and productivity across the end-to-end workflow. This includes leveraging AI assistants for test automation, code generation, debugging, and enhancing overall efficiency. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong programming skills and the ability to effectively use AI development tools in real-world scenarios. During the interview process, we will assess practical experience with AI tools and evaluate programming capabilities.

About the company

Locations and presence

NVIDIA’s corporate headquarters is in Santa Clara, California, and NVIDIA operates across dozens of countries (38 countries reported for fiscal year 2025). NVIDIA reports a “flexible work environment” with work-from-home under certain conditions, with day-to-day expectations varying by team and role.

Palpable Score

NVIDIA is a strong early-career option because NVIDIA runs a clear set of student and new-grad pathways, and NVIDIA positions internships as the main pipeline into early-career hiring. The main friction point is hiring consistency: NVIDIA publishes an applicant-facing process, but public interview reports still include ghosting and uneven closure. Pay and intern experience signals are strong, while long-run early-career outcomes are not published as metrics candidates can easily compare.
