The team you’ll join:

At Fidelity, we are committed to supporting our clients to achieve their sustainable investing objectives. Our approach to integrating sustainability considerations in our investment processes is aimed at protecting and enhancing our client returns in a way that helps create a more sustainable financial system for society as a whole.

In the Sustainable Investing (SI) Team, you will help to support the integration of sustainability into Fidelity’s fundamental investment research and security selection process. The SI team spearheads Fidelity’s stewardship activities, including engagements with corporate issuers and other key stakeholders on sustainability matters and proxy voting, and also leads on the enhancement of Fidelity’s policies, systems, and processes to integrate sustainability considerations.

What you’ll be doing:

On our two-year rotational programme, you will rotate across a range of functions within the Sustainability Team, including Stewardship and Research, and Strategy, Product and Governance functions, gaining exposure to the broad range of work the team delivers to drive forward ESG integration across Fidelity.

We don’t expect you to come straight in and know everything about what we do. As a graduate, and whatever you’ve studied, we’ll help make sure you get the most out of being a full-time employee.

The difference you’ll make:

You’ll contribute to positive, meaningful work that make a difference to our clients. You’ll help them invest and plan for the futures they want. You’ll provide invaluable support to your team, too.

How you’ll be supported:

You’ll start the graduate programme with a comprehensive induction where you’ll be introduced to investment management and how it fits into the Company and the financial markets. As you progress, we’ll prepare you to sit the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 exam. And once you’ve completed the programme, you’ll be able to carry on exploring career and learning opportunities all across Fidelity.

Support is part of our culture, so you’ll have a buddy and a mentor to help you whenever you need. You will also join a close-knit early careers community, with plenty of social and networking events to help you find your feet and feel at home.

What we’re looking for:

It’s who you are that matters here, rather than what you studied.

We look for graduates who are analytical, eager to learn and ready to take on a challenge. A genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn about investment and sustainability is vital, as is a lively interest in our work and our industry. Creative thinking and attention to detail are important too.

And, as we’re an international organisation, we’ll need you to speak English.

We’ll also need you to:

Our clients come from all walks of life and so do we.  We are proud of our inclusive culture and encourage applications from the widest mix of talent, whatever your age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, social background and more.

Palpable Score

78.9
/ 100
Fidelity Investments is easy to enter as a graduate because the company runs multiple named early-career tracks alongside large paid internship hiring. Fidelity Investments also publishes unusually specific candidate guidance for a company of this size, including a staged hiring process and hybrid expectations. The main limits are uneven reports about how structured team-level training feels after placement, and a lack of published outcomes data like intern-to-offer rates or early-career retention.
