Healthcare is usually slow and boring. We believe in its potential to be exciting and entertaining. But changing the healthcare experience is hard – and we’re gonna need all the help we can get…!

What you’ll be doing

We’re on the hunt for 5 casual workers / interns to join our Patient Engagement (PES) team for 8 weeks in the Sydney HQ office 5 days per week. Our PES team are responsible for providing high-quality support to our patients through outbound phone conversations at all stages of their journey with us.

Being a healthcare company, these conversations add important depth to the patient experience, giving patients the information they need to make decisions about their health, humanising a purely online journey, and ultimately enabling higher-touch, more personal healthcare. The PES team thrives on making every patient feel uniquely cared for.

The other critical part of this role is being the voice of the patients to drive product, process and system improvement through collaboration with the wider teams in Eucalyptus, including our growth marketing team, doctors, nurses, pharmacies and inbound patient support team to ensure each patient’s unique needs are met.

This is a great opportunity to learn what it’s like inside a fast-growing health tech startup while making a real impact.

About Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus (or 'Euc' for short) is an Australian founded digital healthcare company that is on a mission to solve the world’s biggest healthcare challenges - think fertility, and behavioural change around chronic conditions such as weight loss, diabetes, and mental health.

Founded in Australia in 2019, we have now helped over 500K patients globally by combining technology, design and operational excellence to help patients access the best clinical support when they need it - wherever they are.

Our 5 clinics (Juniper, Pilot, Kin, Software, & Compound) focus heavily on personalising the experience for different demographics and are powered by a growing team across 5 countries (Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, and the Philippines).

We’ve raised over AUD$160M in funding from Aussie and Silicon Valley investors who were early backers of Uber, Canva and AirBnb. With plans to launch into several more markets, offline channels, and tackle new conditions.

We’re looking to continue building our team of executional weapons who are passionate about healthcare, aren’t afraid to work hard, and invest in others through direct and honest feedback. This approach enables us to make the most impactful changes to improve the health of millions of patients globally.

About you

No prior experience required – just the ability to have empathetic conversations with patients, a go-get-it attitude and enthusiasm for our mission to make great health last a lifetime.

Bonus points if you have outbound sales experience, experience in the healthcare space or allied services, or a keen interest in health & wellness

About the company

Eucalyptus

Company overview

Locations and presence

Eucalyptus describes a global team across nine countries, with offices highlighted in Sydney (HQ), London, Berlin, Tokyo, and Manila. Eucalyptus uses hybrid working, with role-level expectations that can include set office days (for example, some Berlin roles specify two days a week in-office, and some London roles specify three days a week in-office).

Palpable Score

Eucalyptus is fairly accessible for early-career candidates because Eucalyptus posts real internships and some degree-optional entry roles, but early-career intake is not a big, recurring graduate scheme. Hiring can be demanding for candidates, with multi-stage processes and take-home tasks reported publicly, and closure can be inconsistent. Learning support is the bright spot, with repeated mentions of learning budgets, mentors, and buddies, while pay transparency is thinner than the benefits narrative.
