About the company

Symbotic

Company overview
Symbotic builds warehouse automation technology that combines AI-powered software with robotics to move, store, and pick goods inside large distribution centres. Symbotic customers are typically big retailers, wholesalers, and food and beverage operators that need higher throughput and better accuracy. Symbotic’s work sits at the intersection of robotics engineering, machine learning, computer vision, industrial controls, and customer-site operations. Symbotic is headquartered in Massachusetts and has a major engineering footprint in Canada as well.

Locations and presence

Symbotic lists a U.S. headquarters in Wilmington, Massachusetts and a Canada headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, alongside customer-site work across North America. Early-career roles range from on-site HQ internships to remote, field-based graduate roles with heavy travel, plus a limited number of remote or hybrid intern opportunities depending on team needs.

Palpable Score

72.3
/ 100
Symbotic offers several real entry points, including paid internships and co-ops, “New Grad” roles, and a two-year rotational Operations Development Program with formal training and mentoring. The score drops on predictability and outcomes because Symbotic does not publish a clear interview-stage timeline or early-career conversion and promotion metrics, and public evidence shows recent workforce reductions tied to post-acquisition restructuring.
