Overview of the Team

Temasek's Core Technology team is seeking individuals with the grit and passion to support the end-to-end delivery of our core systems. These are critical systems which support the core investment and corporate business functions and processes that are crucial in upkeeping and enhancing the Temasek’s capabilities as a Generational Investor, Forward Looking Institution and Trusted Steward.

The Core Technology team manages a suite of Investment and Enterprise applications that support multiple business functions across investment, finance, human resources and regulatory reporting etc. We are looking for individuals with an insatiable appetite to learn and keen to join this industry going forward as an IT practitioner who has a delivery mindset to provide business values.  

We are looking for interns with an interest in acquiring work experience in project management and operate activities on core systems, and keen in partnering with the system vendors. This internship provides the candidate an ability to develop delivery skillsets and basic functional understanding of the core businesses of Temasek.  

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work with vendor partners/business users in developing new technologies and building of solutions for business users using RPA technology etc.
• Work with the team on basic data analytics and create dashboards
• Work with PMO, delivery/project managers on project governance, management reporting, planning & scheduling etc.
• Support the end-to-end system implementation adopting SDLC Waterfall / Agile methodologies
• Ensure timely maintenance of project / system documentation repository by partners
• Facilitate team collaboration and communication etc.
• Supporting ad-hoc projects/initiatives as required

Requirements  

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering with information system major
• Basic knowledge in using Tableau and RPA tools (UI Path)
• Basic understanding of Banking / Finance business knowledge (through elective module undertaken)
• Project management skills with familiarity of SDLC Waterfall / Agile methodologies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good MS Excel and Powerpoint skills
