Key job responsibilities


The Production Planning analyst will be expected to deliver weekly capacity plans for Amazon fulfillment centers (FCs). These capacity plans will help influence network level strategic decisions through partnering with senior stakeholders in the FC as well as the network. The ideal candidate will possess both an analytical background that enables them to support network planning and demonstrate the ability to think broadly and strategically about operational initiatives. They will experience a wide range of problem solving situations, requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis. They will work in lock-step with multiple business teams including FC operations’ leadership, HR, finance leadership, supply chain and transportation teams of the network they will plan for.

Basic Qualifications

- 2+years of experience in Planning Capacity, Workflow, Financial Planning, Operations Field Management or related fields.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, finance or related field
- Effective English and Portuguese language skills (verbal and written)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Operations, demand and Capacity Planning or Supply Chain
- Experience in SQL/VBA or any visual analytics platform like PowerBI or Tableau
- Experience with performance metrics
- Ability to build scalable analytical models
- Direct experience in quantitative research or analyses
- Master’s degree (Business, Engineering, Statistics or related field)
- Portuguese as second language
