The Role:

It's an exciting time for us - Market Data collect, store and distribute financial data from over 250 exchanges globally in real time and we are underway on our journey on moving functions and services to a cloud platform.

While our environment is changing, you'll be helping to monitor the application stack and infrastructure, collaborating with other Morningstar teams and 3rd party vendors to investigate and address issues. You’ll be making sure our monitoring coverage and visibility to issues does not diminish, and will also be instrumental in deploying new software, representing the team in infrastructure projects, including cloud migration initiatives. Through this you'll have the opportunity to directly influence and contribute to the design and implementation of new tooling and automation of team processes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join and grow with us as we incorporate new technologies in to our application layer and deliver architecture transformations.

Place of Work:  This position is based in our London office.

Hours of Work:  You’ll be required to work 40hrs a week.  After an initial training period, you will graduate to join a shift rotation that can include late finishes and weekend work at points.  You may also find shifts coincide with Public/Bank Holidays.

Palpable Score

76.4
/ 100
Morningstar offers clear, recurring early-career entry points through both internships and a structured two-year graduate program, with plenty of detail on mentoring, training, and early ownership of work. Hiring transparency is better than average because the company publishes a process outline and promises closure, but candidate feedback suggests the experience can be inconsistent. Pay looks broadly market-aligned for early roles and internships, yet public salary-range transparency and outcomes data like conversion rates and retention are limited.
