We are looking for high potential interns to join our Operations Practice based in Paris (France) for a six-month internship starting in 2025.

‍

Reporting to a Manager or Senior Manager during the assignments, the intern is responsible for the deliverables on simple workstream or standalone projects, with the proper supervision from its management, in various industries. The intern shows interest in Operations topics, including Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Services Optimization. If the internship is successful, the intern might be offered a permanent position within our teams.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Understand the problem and define an approach to address and solve the issues
• Conduct thorough analysis and run diagnostics to find the causes of under-performance
• Provide hypothesis and build recommendations to enhance the performance
• Prepare the deliverables of the assignment, under the supervision of your management
• Display basic project management skills for workstream activities
• Interact with our clients in an international environment and develop your consulting skills
• Identify additional areas in which Operations can add value to the client and contribute to its development
• Develop strong knowledge and expertise in at least one of the Operations domains (Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Services Optimization)

Frequent travels might be requested according to the assignments.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Graduate from a top Business or Engineering school
• High interest in Operations, with ideally a first experience in one of the domains (Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Services Optimization)
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to build analytics
• Curious and creative mindset
• Dynamic candidate with a strong will in learning quickly and discovering our way of working at Oliver Wyman
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings.
• Share our values: team spirit, pragmatism, commitment, proactivity and result oriented
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel…)
• Experience on using data mining and data visualization tool is an asset (Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx…)
• Fluent in French and English, and additional language(s) would be much appreciated (German, Spanish…)
