Responsible for planning and designing internal communications network. Plays an important role in the testing and certifying of new hardware, configurations and services prior to deployment to the Company Network. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Technical Skills:
Must to have
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and ESXi (Patching and VM deployment)
• PowerShell scripting for automation and task management.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
Good to have
knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support and maintain: Microsoft AD / DC / DNS, MDT, Windows Server 2008 – 2022
- Support and maintain the VMware Infrastructure, including the VDI environment
- Create and update scripts used to perform various tasks and automations
- Deliver on projects as the dedicated technical resource
- Take ownership of technically challenging incidents and requests, ensuring operational issues are managed and progressed as quickly as possible
- Assess and deploy security patches and fixes to protect against threats and vulnerabilities
- Create and maintain documentation, ensuring a high standard is maintained
- Identify TOIL and look for continuous improvements of the supported IT infrastructure
- Liaise with 3rd Party vendors and system providers
- Ensure that any changes to existing production platforms are captured in the Change Management system and documented
- Provide on call cover as part of the Windows team rota (currently 1 in 7 weeks)
Required Experience and Skills
- Excellent scripting (PowerShell / Ansible) skills
- Extensive Microsoft AD knowledge covering design, delivery, management and support
- Experience in administering and troubleshooting Window Server operating systems and Group Policy
- Understanding of security standards and recommendations for Windows OS
- Experience working with VMware and virtual machines
- Knowledge of Public and Private cloud technologies
