Description

We are looking for a legal assistant to support our rapidly growing and evolving Alexa service, the brain behind our Echo family of devices and the many other products that enable access to Alexa. As a legal assistant, you will provide administrative and legal support to Amazon's legal department and its business partners.

Key job responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support, including managing calendars and scheduling events
- Coordinate contract approvals, signatures, and filings
- Perform reviews of marketing content
- Help with benchmarking products and services
- Identify and execute on legal and business-facing process improvements
- Analyze, draft, and negotiate standard-form contracts
- Effectively use and manage software and tools used by the legal department and teach others how to use those tools

Basic Qualifications

- 1+ years of professional or military experience
- 2+ years of administrative assistant experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
- Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks
- Experience in a technology company or other legal experience
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $43,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $92,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
