Junior Reinsurance Broker

• As a Reinsurance broker, located in Prague, you will be serving highly sophisticated businesses, structuring large transactions and negotiating with large highly capitalized counterparties in respect of quantitative financial products.

• Reinsurance is the hidden engine behind the global insurance industry — a powerful mechanism that helps spread risk, stabilize markets, and protect against catastrophic losses. At its core, reinsurance is insurance for insurers, allowing them to take on more business with greater confidence by transferring portions of their risk to other specialized companies. We will count on you to:

• Assist in designing treaty reinsurance program structures and establish relationships with clients and reinsurers through various online and in-person meetings.

• Develop a solid understanding of insurance product lines, markets, and available reinsurance solutions.

• Review clients’ portfolio data and assist in the production of presentations using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Negotiate with reinsurers during the quotation and placement process while maintaining accurate data input on our internal systems.

• Ensure adherence to company and departmental procedures while being accountable for all aspects of service and support for clients.

What you need to have:

• 2-3 years of experience in reinsurance broking, underwriting or in financial sector.

• A very good command of spoken and written English.

• University degree in insurance, finance, economics, business, or a related field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Knowledge of the treaty reinsurance business in CEE is a plus.
