About the Team

‍

‍

The Ecommerce Machine Learning Team is a group of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and experimentation experts with diverse backgrounds and degrees, all working to create data-driven experiences that enhance our customers’ buying journey.

We design smarter digital experiences, strengthen our platforms, and make sales and marketing efforts more efficient and connected. While product experience is central, the true unlock comes from the technologies we build — powering deeper customer insights, more personalized engagement, and faster sales cycles.

About the Role

‍

As an Ecommerce Machine Learning Intern, you’ll work hands-on with the development and training of cutting-edge machine learning models and algorithms. Your work will help us leverage user behavior and industry trends to deliver highly personalized recommendations — at just the right moment.

In this role, you’ll wear both the data scientist and software engineer hats. You’ll not only design and experiment with models but also build and deploy them into real-world systems. Unlike companies that separate research from engineering, our machine learning engineers own projects end to end — from ideation and experimentation to production implementation.

‍

The 2025 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 18 – August 7 or June 15 – September 4). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes end of March. Our Internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing flexibility in support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.

Palpable Score

69.8
/ 100
Autodesk offers credible entry-level access through a recurring internship pipeline and visible student hiring, but Autodesk does not publicly show the same level of structured graduate pathways and outcome reporting as the very strongest early-career employers. Autodesk explains the broad shape of hiring and commits to status updates, yet Autodesk also states the company does not typically provide specific post-interview feedback, and candidate reports describe uneven communication. Autodesk invests in learning through mentoring, intern programming, and education benefits, while longer-term early-career outcomes remain hard to verify from public data.
