Your role

Join the Private Banking team at UBS Group as Intern Client Account Manager from which you will be supporting the UHNWI/HNWI team in Barcelona office within the Global Wealth Management division!

Your main responsibility will be to provide high quality support to Senior Client advisors. Being actively involved in the daily activities of the desk, including but not limited to the onboarding of new clients, the processing of client instructions and ensuring the client files are well documented and up-to-date. Internally, you will work in close collaboration with our internal departments and support functions (e.g., product experts, credit, risk, compliance, legal). This is the ideal opportunity to develop good knowledge on the private banking business and combine client-facing tasks with hands-on operational activities.



You will support to the team of Private Bankers in tasks such as:

• execution and follow-up of client orders, opening accounts, documentation, transfer, client files.
• opening new securities, coordination of all operations with the back office teams,.
• management of new loans/inheritances, documentation of client meetings and investment proposals according MiFID regulation.

Your expertise

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who is looking for a challenging traineeship in Banking and Finance fulfilling the below criteria:

• Currently undertaking a University undergraduate or higher education degree in Banking & Finance.
• Knowledge of the Private Banking & Wealth Management sector, financial products & services and the regulatory landscape is an asset.
• A proven ability to apply a problem-solving approach with good quantitative and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work towards tight deadlines, taking full ownership of your tasks.
• You possess strong Windows, Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Strong client and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate efficiently at all levels.
• Ability to cope with pressure and a high level of flexibility, responsibility and attention to detail and diligent work approach with respect for our risk and control obligations.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Evidence of strong communication skills and passion that will enable to connect with clients and colleagues to support a high service quality level.
