What you’ll do (Job Responsibilities)
- Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers.
- Grow your technical expertise in Electrical Design and expand your skills in new areas.
- Assist in the design, and simulation of power conversion circuits including AC-DC, DC-DC, and DC-AC converters.
- Support schematic capture and PCB layout for power electronics hardware using tools like AutoCAD and EPLAN.
- Document design processes and assist in preparing technical reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Electrical, Mechanical, and Systems engineering.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding) .
- Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship
- Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design, with a focus on power electronics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
What will make you stand out (Desired Qualifications)
- Hands-on experience with power converter design (e.g., buck, boost, flyback, full-bridge).
- Exposure to control theory and implementation of feedback control loops.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations and safety standards (UL, IEC, etc.).
- Experience with embedded systems or microcontroller-based control of power converters.

The pay for this position ranges from $21.00/hr - $36.00/hr based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed
This position is also eligible for:
- Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
- Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.

- GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
