About the Role:
Osttra’s Finance team requires a recently qualified accountant to join the FP&A team. Osttra is the home of MarkitSERV, Traiana, TriOptima and Reset businesses that offer post trade
services to a community of 10k+ clients. Our company brings together people, processes, and
networks to solve the markets’ most challenging problems. Innovating, integrating, and optimising the post-trade workflow – we are positively shaping the way the community works forever.
There is significant change within finance as we work to build a fully standalone finance function and develop the reporting and analysis we provide. This role will suit someone who enjoys variety and is intellectually curious. While you will have regular responsibilities, this role will have changing deliverables as we respond to the needs of shareholders; the finance function and the broader business.
Key responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and provide insightful commentary on key performance drivers and financial trends.
- Support the development of dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance effectively.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process and periodic financial re-forecasts, working closely with various departments to gather inputs and assumptions.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting activities and scenario planning.
Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with operational teams to understand their financial needs and provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in ad-hoc financial analysis projects as required by senior management.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and improvements within the FP&A function.
- Support the implementation of new financial systems or tools.
Data Management:
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial systems and reports.
- Assist in the collection, validation, and interpretation of financial and operational data.
Skills And Requirements
- Recently qualified accountant
- Personable with good communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely. We speak to a wide variety of stakeholders across all levels of seniority and numerous global locations
- An ability to work independently in completing assigned duties; managing competing priorities for multiple stakeholders
- Proactive & adaptable: self-starter with a proactive approach, able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Strong organisational and time management skills.
