As our Field Service Engineer, you will be an integral part of a team of engineers who assist our Customer Support (CS) organization install, repair and maintain ASML systems at customer sites. You will ensure that our chipmaking systems work as they should – and be part of the technology innovation that’s moving the world forward.
As a DUV Field Service Engineer at ASML, you will play a key role in supporting the world’s leading chipmakers. Your work ensures that advanced lithography systems operate at peak performance, enabling the production of faster, smaller, and more energy-efficient microchips. Role and responsibilities
In this role, you will install, maintain, and optimize ASML’s Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) lithography systems at customer sites. You will work closely with customers and colleagues to ensure system reliability and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities include:
- Ensure a safe working environment during all service activities.
- Install and qualify equipment at customer locations, including assembly, alignment, and testing.
- Diagnose technical issues and perform repairs to restore system functionality.
- Escalate complex problems promptly to technical support teams when needed.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve issues effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance and optimize system performance to prevent downtime.
- Train customers on system operation and basic maintenance procedures.
JG4 - Education and Experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering required, or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience will be accepted.
- Demonstrated experience using computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechatronics, optics, vacuum components, semiconductor processes, and relevant software.
- Familiarity with project coordination and technical troubleshooting.

Other information
- Position will require travel for training. After training, travel will be minimal.
- Position will require access to customer site locations.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to continue learning and growing in a professional environment is necessary.
- Work is conducted at a customer site and requires familiarization with customer rules and policies regarding worksite behavior and safety.
- Expect to spend more than 50% of the time inside the clean room working with electromechanical equipment.
- Position works under the direction of a Manager, Supervisor, or Sr. Engineer.
Physical Demand of the job:
- Shift: compressed work week schedule, rotating day shift to night shift; night shift to day shift, every 8 weeks (12hr shifts, 7am/pm-7pm/am).
- Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
