Overview
Project Manager (PjM) in Global Center for Innovation & Delivery (GCID) is a trusted advisor and delivery orchestrator, accountable for end-to-end engagement success. This role blends project/program management expertise with consulting acumen, ensuring delivery quality, financial health, and customer satisfaction across complex engagements.
As a Consulting Project Management Specialist, you engage directly with project managers and customer stakeholders, leveraging technical expertise to build strong relationships and navigate ambiguous situations. You ensure adherence to compliance standards and contractual requirements while driving customer satisfaction through proactive engagement, reviewing feedback, and fostering trusted partnerships.
You lead project initiation for different engagements, secure resource commitments, assign responsibilities, and create detailed work breakdown structures. You initiate the contracting process, advocate for partner resourcing, and integrate partner resources seamlessly. By developing comprehensive project management plans, you enable predictable delivery and collaborate closely with senior colleagues to ensure success.

Responsibilities
- Supports relationships with key stakeholders in the customer portfolio to ensure service delivery is on track and issues are being anticipated, identified, and managed. Communicates current view of delivery to customer stakeholders, as appropriate.
- Maintains obligations to customer across the delivery lifecycle including envisioning, solution development, delivery planning, cloud consumption and usage, delivery management.
- Looks for or creates opportunities to maximize timely cloud consumption through current deliveries. Identifies new opportunities with customers and facilitates follow up conversations with customers on Consumption both strategically and operational, and to accelerate delivery or prevent delivery delays.
- Applies intermediate knowledge of project management principles to execution and delivery, serves as a mentor to less experienced colleagues, and builds their own capability through experience.
- Develops detailed project management plan to drive predictable delivery for projects with support from senior colleagues, leveraging existing materials, to drive scope, resources, and Microsoft project schedule in alignment and collaboration with customer plan. Participates in basic contingency planning.
- Initiates and coordinates contracting processes (e.g., capturing needs for contractual amendments, partner resourcing; liaise with partner resource managers; collect technical requirements to onboard partner resources).
- Contributes to consumption activities by identifying blockers and enabling internal teams to help customers realise full value from Microsoft purchases.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field AND MBA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft delivery tools/processes and common PM practices (e.g., WBS, status & financial tracking, risk/issue/change management)
- Exposure to cloud consumption and customer enablement activities with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with partner resourcing workflows and onboarding processes
