Your Team Responsibilities

MSCI Data Tech-Data Science team is a central team that builds and manages several Data centric applications/capabilities to support all business verticals of the firm including ESG, Index, Analytics & Real Estate. It also provides data management in support of financial decision making in many of the best and largest financial service providers in the world. We have a relentless dedication to innovation and a drive to push the envelope to deliver cutting edge content and applications. As a member of Data tech, you would join a motivated team of professionals actively engaged in challenging one another to produce products of the highest quality in a business whose explicit goal is to be “best in class”. This team stays up to date on the fast-moving technologies and solutions available on LLM, GenAI, NLP, ML also plan and Impalement most advance Data Science solutions across MSCI’s applications.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Develop data science applications and be a part of our AI adoption journey.
• Support teams across data and technology at MSCI to implement AI solutions and integrate their services with MSCI's data science products and platforms.
• Implement ML, NLP, LLM, LangChain, LangGraph, and Agentic AI within data science tools to deliver new functionality for the internal production platform and the client delivery platform.
• Engage with content expert teams across technology and understand MSCI APIs and data delivery platforms.
• Closely collaborate with Product Management, Quality Assurance, Data Operations, and IT Infrastructure on all stages of the development lifecycle.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

• At least a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in finding patterns in data and creating statistical models, data exploration, data visualization, and data mining.
• Experience in developing AI and ML solutions and delivering them to production.
• Very good hands-on working experience in Python and NLP.
• Prior experience or projects in LLMs, LangChain, LangGraph, and Agentic AI is a plus.
• Familiarity with text processing.
• Understanding of good software development practices: Test-Driven Development (TDD), refactoring, pair-programming, solid design.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and demonstrating an exceptional drive towards delivery.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions, especially on Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
