AWS is seeking engineers with solid Linux, system administration, or scripting knowledge to own and advance a mission critical service in our Dedicated Clouds (ADC). This is an excellent opportunity to join Amazon's engineering team supporting our Relational Database Services and Platform infrastructure in Seattle, WA.


This role will pair you with some of our brightest engineers and technical managers while also developing your skills and furthering your career.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

You will design and build the operational scalability that sustains the platform's remarkable growth. You will measure your success and it will be visible.

The ideal candidate will:

Basic Qualifications

- High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
- 1+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows).
- Experience working with scripting languages.
- In lieu of above relevant work experience, degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

- 1+ years experience with cloud computing technologies.
- 1+ years of networking experience.
- 1+ years of experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments.
- Experience troubleshooting production systems.
- Experience with performance and log analysis.
