We're looking for ambitious students to join our 2026 Off-cycle Internship Program within our investment banking business.

• lead ad-hoc transformative process improvements using innovative tools to automate and simplify regular controls, analysis and reporting processes and create lasting impact.
• join a dynamic and high-performing team that offers a rich blend of learning opportunities, especially valuable for individuals entering the workforce for the first time

Your team

You will be part of the FX & Rates COO team, a global team of business managers strategically positioned at the heart of the trading floors in Zurich (Opfikon), London, New York, Singapore and Sydney. Operating under the follow-the-sun model, we ensure seamless global alignment within the FX & Rates business, part of Derivatives & Solutions in Global Markets which is trading and distributing a diverse range of FX, STIR and Rates products.

Our primary focus is on ensuring that the business operates effectively and efficiently, managing risks while maximizing profits, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures. We work closely with Senior Stakeholders, Sales & Trading, Control Functions, and other divisions such as GWM and P&C, fostering a collaborative environment that drives success and innovation.

• is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines
• is a team player and has an autonomous, diligent and detail-oriented work style
• has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative

Start Date: January, or June/July 2026

We’re looking for someone who’s curious and wants to thrive in a business that never stops moving. We welcome all majors, but it’s important to have an interest in the financial industry. We want to see what makes you unique and discover what you can bring to our team. Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or stepped out of your comfort zone to learn about a subject you found challenging? Let us know how your achievements match the skills we’re after.

UBS provides strong early-career access through multiple structured routes, including an 18–24-month Graduate Talent Program, summer internships, off-cycle internships, and Swiss apprenticeships. UBS sets clear expectations on stages and assessments, but UBS also states the company cannot provide detailed feedback after rejections, which limits transparency for first-time applicants. Early-career outcomes look positive in pathway design and cohort scale, but publicly available conversion, retention, and promotion metrics are limited and the wider post-acquisition restructuring environment adds uncertainty in some teams.
