• Prime Video
• Prime Now
• Amazon Fresh

Internship length will be 3 to 6 months full-time.

Key job responsibilities

Depending on your placement, you may support one of the following areas:

Retail / Amazon Vendor Services

Amazon retail teams work to help improve the selection and shopping experience for customers across our product categories, from books to fashion, electronics to grocery, movies and music to toys and health & beauty, and everything in between. As a retail intern in one of those categories, you will learn how Amazon handles its e-commerce retail business.
Support Vendor Managers in helping Amazon's most strategic brands grow their business.
• Analyze category performance and customer behavior
• Identify opportunities to improve product selection, pricing, and availability
• Support vendor negotiations and retail operations

Amazon Advertising

Amazon advertising sits at the intersection of advertising and e-commerce. Customers visit us every day to find, discover, and buy products, so we’re obsessed with making the shopping experience the best it can be – and advertising is a part of that experience. As an intern, you’ll gain a deep understanding of Amazon's display advertising products as well as our technical and operational capabilities.
Work with Account Managers to deliver impactful advertising solutions.
• Learn about Amazon’s advertising products and targeting capabilities
• Support campaign planning, data analysis, and client presentations
• Contribute to improving advertising products and client outcomes

Merchant Services

Amazon merchant services cover all third-party merchants’ activity related to selling on Amazon as well as the specific services and products we offer to help develop and grow these sellers.
Help third-party sellers grow and succeed on Amazon.
• Identify and engage high-potential merchants using market data and industry intelligence
• Analyze seller performance data, understanding of customer pain points, requirements, and potential value that can be delivered by advertising or merchant services to propose improvement strategies
• Learn the advertising or merchant services portfolio and the Amazon culture

As part of your internship, you will have the opportunity to collaborate across multiple teams, including category, product, and technical support. You will gain hands-on experience with Amazon’s internal tools and systems while developing a strong understanding of our culture and ways of working. Throughout your project, you'll be encouraged to identify opportunities to improve internal processes, tools, and the overall customer experience.

A day in the life

As an intern, you will be matched to a mentor and work on a high-impact project from day one.

Throughout your internship, you will also:
• Expand your professional network by engaging with Amazonians for both personal and professional development
• Take part in intern events. No matter the location of your internship,
we give you the tools to own your project and learn in a real-world setting
• Receive ongoing feedback and development support

About the team

If you’re insatiably curious and always want to learn more, then you’ve come to the right place. Our internship program is designed to give you real-world experience while supporting your development. You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values curiosity, ownership, and learning.

Depending on your location, country, job status and other requirements, some or all the following benefits may be available to you as an intern.

About the company

Amazon

Company overview
Amazon runs a wide set of consumer and enterprise businesses, including online retail, Prime Video and other subscription services, advertising, devices, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Amazon also builds large-scale software and infrastructure for logistics, payments, and cloud computing, and hires across engineering, product, operations, corporate functions, and frontline roles. Amazon’s early-career hiring spans both office-based teams and operational sites, which means “entry-level” can look very different depending on the org.

Locations and presence

Amazon has major corporate hubs in Seattle and Arlington (HQ2) plus large engineering and operations sites across North America, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific. For many corporate roles, Amazon’s stated expectation has shifted to five days per week in-office for office-based employees (with exceptions depending on role and site).

Palpable Score

76.7
/ 100
Amazon is one of the most accessible early-career employers at scale, with recurring internships and graduate hiring across many disciplines and geographies. Amazon also provides unusually clear public information about interview mechanics and publishes pay ranges on a large share of roles, which supports informed decision-making. The biggest drag on outcomes is the combination of high-performance culture signals and recent corporate job cuts, which adds risk for early-career stability depending on team and org.
