The location for this position is Winston Salem, NC (3700 REIDSVILLE Road, WINSTON SALEM, NC)
At TE Connectivity, you’ll help bring our purpose to life by creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future. Your role as an Intern in the Industrial & Commercial Transportation Business Unit, will help us make the connections that move the world forward by:
• Support innovative product development initiatives by applying core mechanical engineering principles to concept design in NPI/ADP projects and fixture design for RF testing that aligned with evolving market needs.
• Contribute to teams through active involvement in dimension report verification, sample inspection, and validation, while gaining hands-on experience through these activities.
• Build technical competencies and engineering expertise through mentorship from experienced professionals.
-At TE Connectivity, you’ll be part of a global collaborative culture where your innovative approach and actions have the potential to transform the world of tomorrow. In this role you’ll:
-Learn and support the team in concept design for NPI/ADP projects and fixture design for RF testing using Creo 10 for NPI/ADP projects.
-Assist with drawing creation and updates in Creo 10, and manage engineering changes using PDMlink/Windchill.
-Help with DgLab test request creation, sample preparation, engineering evaluations, and validation report reviews as part of testing and verification activities.
-Support inspection data review using VG Metrology and perform visual verification of samples to identify manufacturing defects that could lead to functional failures.
-You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:
-Have earned a high school diploma or GED
-Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a BA/BS or MA/MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Related Major from an accredited college or university—or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).
-Preferably have prior internship experience or have completed a major project
-CAD experience is preferred but not required
-Are authorized to work in the U.S.
-Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a desire to learn
