Your role as an Intern in the Aerospace Defense & Marine Business Unit, will help us make the connections that move the world forward by:
- Supporting the development and execution of strategic operations priorities
- Driving projects that contribute to long term operations enablement of revenue growth
- Developing plans to bring best-in-class operating practices into AD&M
Responsibilities
- At TE Connectivity, you’ll be part of a global collaborative culture where your innovative approach and actions have the potential to transform the world of tomorrow. In this role you’ll:
- Analyze strategic operations scenarios and trade-offs including Make vs. Buy decisions, footprint location decisions, and project prioritization tradeoffs
- Analyze past and current operations performance trends to determine priorities for long term strategic action
- Research trends in operations and supply chain including benchmarking best practices, emerging technologies, and process innovations
- Assist with preparation of management presentations on strategy topics
- Support project documentation, and facilitate communication across the operations team
You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:
- Have earned a high school diploma or GED
- Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a BA/BS or MA/MS Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or Related Major from an accredited college or university—or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).
- Preferably have prior internship experience or have completed a major project in supply chain, manufacturing, operations management, industrial engineering, or continuous improvement
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
- Like to creatively solve problems using data and analytics
- Are intellectually curious and a self-starter
- Due to ITAR restrictions at many of our locations, candidates with US Citizenship are required
