βWe are recruiting a Market Security Associate to join our team in Ipswich!
As a Market Security Associate, you will provide core analytical support to the dynamic Gallagher Re Market Security Team. The role will be pivotal in supporting and developing key team business initiatives across Gallagher Re.
Market Security is dedicated to establishing confidence that the reinsurers Gallagher Re trade with represent robust and appropriate financial security for our clients. The team undertakes a combination of risk assessment, due diligence, ongoing monitoring and suitable risk mitigation strategies to support this.

Core Market Security activities include:
- Managing data quality within our technology platform which houses a broad range of financial and non-financial data on reinsurance counterparties.
- Employing minimum credit rating thresholds and conducting independent counterparty analysis.
- Providing data and information to colleagues to support clients in understanding and monitoring their reinsurance counterparties.
- Monitoring, understanding, and interpreting the actions taken by the global credit rating agencies.
- Administering the use of non-approved markets in accordance with internal policy and procedures.

βHow you'll make an impactβ
- Conducting detailed market research on (re)insurance counterparties, including interpreting (re)insurance company financial statements covering a diverse range of geographies.
- Producing high quality analytical reports on (re)insurance companies, providing analytical expertise to support the global business.
- Build a solid knowledgebase of credit rating agency methodology.
- Become a fundamental and trusted member of the analytical team, responding to key stakeholder requests in an efficient and highly manner.
- Contribute to accomplishing the teamβs strategic objectives by identifying and supporting various operational tasks and projects.
- Be proactive in building and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders, including Gallagher senior management and key contacts from within the industry.

- A strong analytical and numerical mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
- Excellent English skills, with track record of successful verbal and written communication.
- An understanding of key accounting concepts and a solid foundation in the fundamentals of financial statements. (desirable but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability and desire to build and manage relationships with a range of collaborators.
- Developed Excel skills.
- Professional qualification (preferred but not required).
- Eligible to work in the UK.
