What youโll do
- Assist Mobile Bot Hardware Engineering team with designing, documenting, building, testing and debugging of the latest technologies and engineering designs.
- Contribute to the conception, analysis, prototyping, detailed design, and validation of Mechanical, Electromechanical systems.
- Design parts for various manufacturing processes, including machining, casting, sheet metal, plastics, and fabricated assemblies.
- Assemble electromechanical assemblies, fixtures utilizing hand tools, measurement equipment and machine tools.
- Assist in debugging issues with the bot Mechanical and Electro-mechanical systems and components.
- Work with cross functional teams to verify designs and resolve issues.
- Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Contribute to the design and implementation of PLC hardware and software systems.
- Collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines such as Hardware, Software, Control, Vision, and Safety to accomplish program and test objectives.
- Inform reliability test plans to identify failure modes early in development cycles.
- Conduct root cause analysis of system failures to support engineering development. ย

What youโll need
- Currently pursuing a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering with focus on Mechatronics hardware design.
- Experience with basic lab equipment (Mechanical and Electrical)
- Proficiency with Solidworks or similar CAD tool.
- Prototyping and Machining Experience (Vertical Mill, Drill Press, Rapid Prototype, Lathe, etc.)
- Comfortable with presenting to peers, cross functional teams and senior team members.

- Up to 50% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driverโs license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
- The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
