About the Team

The Program Controls & Operations Data Engineering (ProCODE) group is responsible for core operational data and reporting. From fostering enterprise and executive reporting to maintaining data pipelines from source of BI Tools – enabling insights across both Technology and Mastercard as a whole. The team also focuses heavily in business process automation, reducing manual toil and increasing data consumption to improve processes. The ProCODE team is the source of truth for core metrics and integrity in operational data for Business Intelligence.

Internship Program

Mastercard’s summer internship program provides emerging talent with projects that will enhance skills as well as contribute to the department’s goals and objectives. In this program, you will participate in:

- Networking events, mentorship opportunities, and hear from senior leaders

- End-of-summer presentations to peers and Mastercard leadership

Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program majoring in Computer Science or a related field with a graduation date of Winter 2026 through Spring 2027

- Hands-on experience through previous internships or multiple class projects with ETL

- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools, such as: Power BI, Domo, and Tableau

- Proficient in both Python and SQL

- Experience with data storytelling- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

- Excellent communication skills, ability and willingness to tackle complex problems
