Within the Data & Analytics BI team, the Data Visualization Specialist position plays a significant administration & governance role for enterprise supported BI Tools; solutioning consultation on business funded & self-service use cases, training users on BI Tools, establishing analytics best practices & managing various security & administrative functions of the BI Tools. They also provide technical guidance to other DVS roles within IT & multiple Business Units where other Data Visualization Specialists are responsible for turning abstract information from data analysis into appealing and understandable visualizations that improve business insights from the results of the analysis.
- Brings knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques to drive business analytics and semantic data access requirements.
- Work closely with business users, vendors, and delivery teams to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of business analytics and reporting solutions.
- Conceptualize, design, and develop data visualization solutions that synthesize data concepts into clear communications for key business stakeholders.
- Drives business stakeholder adoption of insights-driven decision making and/or business process innovation.
- Leads knowledge transfer around using data visualizations to business stakeholders.
- Assist in developing best practices for data presentation and sharing across the organization.
- Ensures data visualization standards are maintained and implemented.
- Demonstrate an ability to reduce data to the bare minimum of what is needed to optimally communicate a message.
- Participates in POC projects and provides business analytics solutions recommendations.
- Evaluates new visualization tools and performs research on best practices.
- Contributes to strategic planning meetings and provides guidance and expertise on system options, risk, cost vs. benefits, and impacts on business processes and goals.
- Responsible for BI Tool administration & security functions as designated
Experience and Educational Requirements:
Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree
Must not require sponsorship to work in the US now or in the future
