The R&D department plans the sustainable product and technology road map for Europe and works on developing advanced, full electric vehicles series, which fulfill current and future European private transportation market needs. By cooperating with European leading suppliers, the R&D department continuously upgrades design and engineering abilities for excellent product performance and quality.
As R&D Engineer, you will do research, analysis and evaluation of E-mobility products, user experience and usability of both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. You will use these research insights for the product development and iteration, working closely together with product, design and engineering teams.
Your main responsibility is:
- Responsible for the field investigation of after-sales problems of narrow chassis(including braking system、 steering system、 suspension system、 wheel system): ①Reappear the failure toghter with agents or service station technicaians and suppliers (if required), and analyze the cause of the failure;②If the reason can't be detemined, report to relevant experts of BYD China-team and get the help;③Confirm the cause of the failure according to the guidance of relevant experts of BYD headquarters.
- Responsible for the investigation(including system performance based on the whole vehicle、components performance etc.)of competitive products in European market.
- Regularly report the situation and progress of after-sales problems in Europe to BYD China-team.
- Assist BYD China-team to carry out invitation for bids for native （European） parts.
Your personal information:
- Bachelor degree or above. Major in automotive or mechanical engineering, familiar with narrow chassis (braking system、steering system、suspension system、wheel system), experience in chassis design and development is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Project).
- Good communication skills,especially on technology communication.
- Fluent verbal and written English.
