Equipment Technicians are responsible for managing the maintenance and operation of machinery, including overseeing shift crews' activities such as conversions and scheduled or unscheduled repair maintenance. Their role ensures that proper maintenance procedures are conducted on all equipment, while also serving as a communications liaison between engineering staff on the shop floor, manufacturing supervisors, and equipment and process engineers. Essential skills include performing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify equipment issues within the manufacturing process. Technicians are also required to disassemble, adjust, repair, and assemble machinery in accordance with layout plans, blueprints, and operating or repair manuals.
· Conduct equipment preventive and predictive maintenance on a regular schedule.
· Inspect critical equipment parameters daily and weekly.
· Confirm correct equipment setup and buyoff to maintain product quality standards.
· Restore equipment operation efficiently to minimize downtime.
· Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues in electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment.
· Disassemble, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment using layout plans, blueprints, manuals, rough sketches, or drawings.
· Utilize test and diagnostic equipment for checkouts.
· Rebuild manufacturing equipment when necessary.
· Carry out equipment modifications under engineer direction.
· Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical & Electronics.
· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with interest in a dynamic workplace.
· Experienced in assembly processes; 2 years in semiconductor manufacturing preferred.
· Effective data analysis and problem-solving skills using available resources.
· Fast learner, independent, motivated, and able to work shifts
