This is an exciting opportunity to join the KeysightCare Customer Technical Support Organization, where as an Application Engineer you will be responsible for delivering post-sales technical support to key customers and strategic partners. Â You'll learn how to provide timely and effective technical support; clarifying, analyzing and resolving technical problems of varied scope and complexity. You will be required to demonstrate a broad knowledge of instrumentation, applications and technologies, with the intent that over time as you build your knowledge and experience you become more specialized in a specific technology / industry area.
Typical applications are test of electronic components, digital modulation in wireless communications as well as a wide range of signal analysis and RF/MW applications. Further data acquisition, power and DC measurement applications are a key focus. Your knowledge of measurement automation applications to solve connectivity problems is key.
This position requires high energy, a good attitude and teamwork, to drive cost effective problem resolution for our customers. Strong customer focus, technical competence and flexibility to adapt to new technologies, are key success factors.
You start with a comprehensive technical training program, complemented by the development of professional skills required in a services environment.

Responsibilities
‍Key Responsibilities:
•Interfacing with existing or potential customers, sales and/or service representatives and partners to handle a variety of pre-sales or post-sales enquiries.
•Provide timely and effective remote pre and post sales technical support, solving technical problems of varied scope and complexity.
•Close cooperation with the Keysight product and software divisions. The remote technical support engineer is the technical interface between the customers and the Keysight product developers.
•May support and occasionally visit customer site.
•Leverage post sales interactions with customers to probe and qualify further revenue opportunities and provide highly qualified leads to sales.

Qualifications
‍Job Qualifications:
Minimum requirements:
•Bachelors or Masters’ Degree or University Degree or equivalent on electronics and communications engineering or similar.
•Clear written and verbal communications; able to explain technical concepts and subjects over the phone and through email.
•Japanese written and oral communication essential.
•Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize.
•Must work well in a team environment and be self-motivated.
•Strong analytical skills to analyse and solve technical problems
•Ability to effectively interface with customers

Preferred skills and attributes:
Candidates are preferred to have knowledge in one or more of the following areas
•Basic knowledge in either high-speed digital or digital photonics technologies.
•Experience with semiconductor test equipment such as semiconductor parameter analyzers, and a basic understanding of semiconductor devices and principles
•Experience with electronic component test instruments such as LCR meters or impedance analyzers, and a basic understanding of passive and active electronic components
•Basic programming skills applicable to measurement environments using languages such as VEE, LabVIEW, MATLAB®, C/C#, or Python
