As a member of the Brookfield Infrastructure Finance and Operations team, you will report to the Director, Finance and work alongside a strong team to build a ‘best in class’ finance function. The incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, treasury and financial reporting for our Brookfield Infrastructure Private Funds.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include participating in the entire fund operations and reporting process such as:
- Actively participate in the day-to-day fund operations, including but not limited to, managing liquidity, assisting on capital deployment of the fund, and assisting with investor queries.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis and actively participate in the resolution of complex technical accounting issues, including coordination with auditors, operating platforms, and various internal and external stakeholders.
- Preparation of quarterly distribution and capital call notices, including review of operations binders and working with external fund administrators.
- Support Brookfield’s quarterly valuation process including in-depth review of models/long-term assumptions and the preparation of consolidated management presentations.
- Prepare analysis as part of fundraising process for new private infrastructure funds.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on the Funds annual tax filings.
- Opportunity to work alongside corporate and global platforms on various reporting initiatives.
- Ad-hoc analysis and presentations on platform financial and operational results, as well as supporting any special projects.
Qualifications:

To qualify, candidates must have:
- University degree in Business or Finance
- Working towards completion of recognized professional accounting designation (CPA).
- One to two years of progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting functions, with an understanding and familiarity with private funds considered an asset.
- Strong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly, problem-solve and to manage changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills, can work effectively with all levels and departments within a complex organization.
- Self-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development.
