KKR is seeking an experienced, analytical investment professional at the Analyst or Associate level to join its ABF team in New York. In this role, the successful candidate will play a critical part in evaluating investment opportunities and conducting thorough analyses of granular pools of loans and other asset-based collateral. KKR is an active participant in these markets and is looking for someone to contribute to underwriting and executing new investments as well as helping to manage a sizable existing portfolio. RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with analysis of investments involving asset-backed securities and collateral types, including supporting asset and liability cash flow modeling
- Support investment team members by gathering data on potential investment opportunities and helping develop recommendations
- Draft sections of investment memos and compile reporting materials under supervision
- Help track portfolio performance metrics and gather data on trends for team review
- Support due diligence processes by collecting and organizing relevant information
- Support deal execution processes and post-closing workstreams
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in asset-backed finance at an investment bank, advisor, hedge fund, or other investment office, with a preference for candidates with a focus on consumer assets
- Strong cash flow modeling skills to assess the viability and potential returns of investment opportunities
- Excellent critical thinking, quantitative and analytical abilities
- Superior presentation skills to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong personal initiative and desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to be a highly productive member of lean and fast paced deal teams
- Ability to learn quickly with a strong attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or another technical field required
