We are seeking a passionate and curious Software Engineer Intern to join our Neural Reconstruction (NuRec) team for Summer 2026. This internship is ideal for Master’s or PhD students who are eager to apply their research and technical skills to cutting-edge problems in neural reconstruction and 3D scene understanding. You’ll collaborate with research scientists and engineers to advance our Neural Reconstruction Engine and help bring emerging prototypes closer to real-world deployment.
‍
What You Will Be Doing:
‍
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transform research prototypes into scalable systems.
- Contribute to the development of algorithms and models for our neural reconstruction pipeline.
- Explore and experiment with state-of-the-art (SOTA) neural reconstruction methods (e.g., 3DGS, NeRF, Gaussian Splatting).
- Support model training, evaluation, and integration for real-world applications such as robotics and 3D scene analysis.
- Build and maintain tools that assess and visualize model performance.
‍
‍
What We Need To See:
‍
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Familiarity with Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Fundamental understanding or prior experience in Neural Reconstruction techniques (e.g. 3DGS, NeRF).
- Prior experience on 3DGS relighting or 3DGS object reconstruction.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
‍
‍
Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:
‍
- Experience with robotics frameworks (e.g. ROS).
- Research experience in 3D vision, reconstruction, or large-scale model training.
- Exposure to CUDA programming or GPU acceleration.
