Location & Hybrid Work Policy: Starting January 26, 2026, MAI employees are expected to work from a designated Microsoft office at least four days a week if they live within 50 miles (U.S.) or 25 miles (non-U.S., country-specific) of that location. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.

‍Responsibilities‍

• Drive the technical design, implementation, and deployment of critical AI services and AI user interfaces.
• Set a high bar for AI-native engineering by leveraging deep understanding of advanced AI solutions and frontline AI coding experience to accelerate development cycles.
• Actively explore the latest advancements in AI-assisted programming and integrate them into daily workflows to build low-latency backend services and responsive frontend interactions with greater efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Research, Product, and Design teams to translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive, user-aligned experiences.
• Architect and operationalize durable software systems from the ground up, using AI coding tools creatively to solve complex problems and ensure codebases remain maintainable, testable, and ready for rapid iteration.

‍Qualifications‍

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• • OR equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of full-stack development, including deep proficiency in both Frontend frameworks (e.g., React, TypeScript) and Backend services, with a strong grasp of scalable system architecture and design patterns.
• A highly open mindset with a relentless drive for continuous learning. Demonstrated willingness to embrace new technologies, tools, and paradigms—especially the rapid evolution of AI coding workflows—and apply them to solve complex engineering challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
