Overview
We are seeking a full-time Response Coordinator 2 in our Montgomery, TX location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing coordination of moderately complex search and rescue efforts with emergency personnel in support of Garmin customers.
Essential Functions
- Receive and respond to inbound SOS calls using Garmin’s emergency response technologies, accurately relaying critical information to emergency responders
- Initiate and support emergency procedures by operating communication tools, using proper codes and protocols, and effectively coordinating with responding agencies
- Maintain clear, compassionate, and professional communication with customers, team members, and external agencies in high-pressure situations
- Maintain composure, focus, and control while working in fast-paced, stressful, or emotionally intense situations
- Reliable, punctual attendance is required and, as an “Essential Staff” role, this position requires presence during holidays, emergencies, and disruptions
- Quickly and accurately follow verbal and written instructions, read and interpret location data, and operate office and communications equipment proficiently
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience OR a minimum of 1 year as a Response Coordinator 1
- Demonstrated interest in working with customers when under pressure
- Proven customer service expertise and active listening skills
- Proficient verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Exhibit professionalism, be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
- Excellent time management and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated reliable and predictable attendance
- Intermediate computer skills including competency of Microsoft Word and Excel
