The Team:
The team are responsible for assigning and surveilling national scale credit ratings in Mexico. The practice covers national scale credit ratings for different sectors including corporates, financial institutions, infrastructure, local and regional governments, and structured finance.

The position provides broad support for the analytical team. The successful candidate will support senior analysts in the analysis of the credit portfolio, work with senior analysts in preparing committee presentations, and maintain databases. You will assemble financial, technical and other data essential to debt rating activities and apply acquired research, analytical and reporting skills.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and prepare documents and presentations for rating committees.
- Support Senior Analysts during the analytical process.
- Assist in the collection and analysis of data on special projects.
- Work with analysts to publish periodic thought leadership articles.
- Comply with quality standards and compliance policies.
- Provide the highest level of customer service and responsiveness.
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
- Contribute to a team environment which stimulates continuous innovation.
- All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
- We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
What We’re Looking For:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related subject.
- An S&P Global employee at this level would typically be in their last year at university or have graduated.
- Strong analytical skills with an understanding of financial statement analysis.
- The ability to quickly absorb, analyze, and act upon information, while demonstrating strong proficiency with data.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be highly organized with the ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and work under time pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proficient MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and database application skills are required.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
