Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, you’ll help bring our purpose to life by creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future. Your role as ​an Intern​ in the ​Energy​ Business Unit, will help us make the connections that move the world forward by:

•    Contribute to product development projects for solar connectors and wiring harnesses.

•    Support design, prototyping, product validation, and testing efforts.

•    Utilize PTC Creo and ANSYS to evaluate designs and conduct FEA analyses.

•    Gain an understanding of Solar connector products and the Solar industry.

Responsibilities  

At TE Connectivity, you’ll be part of a global collaborative culture where your innovative approach and actions have the potential to transform the world of tomorrow. In this role you’ll:

•    Assist with prototyping and testing of various new products for the Solar Business  

•    Conduct tests and document results, preparing reports or summaries to share with the team. 

•    Contribute to product designs and continuous improvement efforts

•    Support team activities and learn how new products move from concept to production.

You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:  

•    Have earned a high school diploma or GED

•    Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a ​BA/BS​ Degree in ​Mechanical Engineering​, ​Electrical Engineering​ or ​Related Major​ from an accredited college or university—or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).

•    Preferably have prior internship experience or have completed a major project

•    Are authorized to work in the U.S.
