Santa Rosa, in the heart of California’s beautiful wine country, is the corporate headquarters of Keysight, home to a diverse group of R&D labs.  The Digital and Photonics R&D team develops and produces the world’s highest performance oscilloscopes   This internship is with a oscilloscope product R&D team inventing and developing new measurements for optical and electrical signals used to transport high speed data in transceivers at the heart of modern cloud and internet services.


Responsibilities

Our engineers develop software for our market-leading oscilloscopes. The development involves the full software lifecycle of requirements capture, investigation, product definition, design, implement, test, production and maintenance. They work with customers, manufacturing and software teams in other geographies world-wide. The position involves developing in C#/Managed C++/Windows .NET and controlling advanced measurement hardware.
Your internship will involve creating measurements & features, diagnostics and addressing defects, contributions to a specific R&D project underway.  Likely projects for this internship include working with MATLAB and signal processing algorithms, depending on your knowledge of optical and electrical measurements such as RIN, jitter, eye metrics, and modulation quality metrics.

Candidates who wish to be considered must be enrolled in a accredited college/university as of September 2026. Applicants who have graduated before September 2026 will not be considered unless they are entering/applying to a MS or PHD program after graduating.
