Your tasks and responsibilities

‍

• Are you passionate about AI, automation, and real-world impact? Join Airbus Defence and Space in Friedrichshafen, Germany, and work on a cutting-edge project that uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to automate regulatory compliance for Aerospace, Defence, and AI systems.
• We are developing a smart assistant that reads complex regulations (like the EU AI Act, aviation safety rules, or cybersecurity standards), understands your product, and automatically generates a Compliance Management Plan, with full traceability and citations.
• We’re looking for a Master’s student (6-month thesis) to help us build and test this RAG-based system. You’ll work hands-on with modern AI tools, cloud platforms, and real compliance data, and turn your thesis into a working prototype that could shape the future of safe, certified technology.

Desired skills and qualifications

‍

• Enrolled full-time student in the area of Computer Science, artificial intelligence or an equivalent field of study.
• Strong Python programming skills (this is key)
• Interest or experience in AI, NLP, or machine learning
• Basic understanding of web APIs, C++, cloud platforms (like  AWS, Azure, or GCP), and data pipelines
• Comfort working with command line, Git, Docker, and Linux
• Ability to read and understand technical or legal English texts
• Independent working style and problem-solving mindset
